Apple Launches Website for Paying Apple Card Bills Online

Apple today launched a website that’s designed to allow Apple Card holders to check their balances, view statements, and make ‌Apple Card‌ payments online.

The card.apple.com website lets ‌Apple Card‌ holders sign in with their Apple IDs.

The website features a payments section that shows card balance front and center, along with the next scheduled payment date, and total card limits.

Monthly statements can be viewed and downloaded through another section of the website, while Settings allows users to add a bank account, manage scheduled payments, or see their Mastercard network benefits. A support section of the website provides access to an ‌Apple Card‌ web user guide and a phone number that customers can call to get help.

All of these functions were previously available in the Wallet app, but having online access to ‌Apple Card‌ tools is useful for those who prefer managing their credit cards from their computers rather than their iPhones.

Apple is also now allowing new ‌Apple Card‌ applicants to apply directly from the Apple.com website using any browser when purchasing a product using the ‌Apple Card‌ Monthly Installments option.

As highlighted yesterday, Apple is running a promotion for new ‌Apple Card‌ users at the current time, providing $50 Daily Cash when the ‌Apple Card‌ is first used to pay for an Apple service like an App Store purchase, Apple Arcade, or Apple Music.

Apple Card Deferred Payment Program Extended Once Again Through July

Apple has once again extended its Apple Card COVID-19 Customer Assistance Program by a month, allowing cardholders who enroll in the program to defer their July payment without incurring any interest charges.

To enroll in the program, open the Wallet app on an iPhone or iPad, tap on the ‌Apple Card‌, tap on the black circle with three dots, tap on the message bubble, and send a message along the lines of “I want to enroll in the Customer Assistance Program.” Confirmation of your enrollment will be sent to the email address associated with your Apple ID.

Your outstanding balance of ‌Apple Card‌ purchases will still need to be paid off eventually, but the balance will not accrue interest while you are participating in the program. Customers who previously enrolled in the program for other months will need to enroll again for July.

Apple Launches ‘Path to Apple Card’ Program to Help Declined Applicants Get Approved

Apple today launched a new Apple Card program and website that are designed to help people who have their ‌Apple Card‌ applications declined improve their credit to qualify, reports TechCrunch.

Starting today, declined ‌Apple Card‌ applicants will begin seeing emails that offer the Path to ‌Apple Card‌ program, which is opt-in and can run for four months. It uses the information from the initial ‌Apple Card‌ credit application to provide people with details on why they were declined as well as suggestions on how to improve financial markers that could help them get approved next time.

Examples of suggestions include resolving past due balances, making payments to secured and unsecured debt accounts on time, and lowering credit card and personal loan debt. Apple will send out a once-a-month update on progress toward improvement.

When a customer has completed the program, Apple invites them to reapply for the ‌Apple Card‌. Apple has also launched a website that has specific details on how the Goldman Sachs approval process works and how people can boost their chances of approval before applying.

As TechCrunch points out, the suggestions that Apple offers are obvious to those with knowledge of how credit works, but there are many people who do not have a strong grasp on the factors that can impact credit worthiness, and Apple’s program could help these people.

When it comes to privacy, Apple knows whether a person has chosen to participate in the program, but it does not store personally identifiable information or know details about participants’ financial situation. Goldman Sachs does not share the information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Apple Planning Interest-Free Apple Card Payment Plans for Macs, AirPods, iPads and More

Apple plans to debut interest-free payment plan options for customers who purchase iPads, AirPods, Macs, and more using Apple Card, allowing them to pay for purchases over several months.

According to Bloomberg, Apple will roll out the ‌Apple Card‌ feature in the coming weeks, with customers given up to 12 months to pay for their products before interest is due.

The 12 month plan will be available for iPads, Macs, the Apple Pencil, iPad keyboards, and the Pro Display XDR, while six month payment plans will be offered for ‌AirPods‌, Apple TV, and HomePod.

Customers will be able to make payments through the Wallet app, with charges added each month to their ‌Apple Card‌ bills.

Apple rolled out a 24-month interest free iPhone installment plan for ‌Apple Card‌ users back in December, which lets customers purchase an ‌iPhone‌ with the ‌Apple Card‌ and pay over the course of 24 months.

The new device payment plans will work in the same way. Customers will get three percent Daily Cash back for their purchases, and the plans will be compatible with Apple’s educational discounts.

During Apple’s most recent earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that Apple was planning to provide payment plan options for devices other than the ‌iPhone‌. “As you know, we launched the payment plan earlier on ‌‌Apple Card‌‌ for ‌‌iPhone‌‌,” he said. “We’re working on that for other products and you’ll see something on that shortly.”

Apple’s upcoming payment plans are meant to boost sales of Apple devices by allowing customers to pay for their items over time, as well as bolster ‌Apple Card‌ signups.

New Apple Card Users Can Earn $50 in Bonus Daily Cash When They Spend $50 at Walgreens

Apple and Walgreens have partnered up on a new offer to entice U.S. users to sign up for Apple Card, with users who open an account during the month of June eligible to receive $50 in bonus Daily Cash if they spend at least $50 on their ‌Apple Card‌ at Walgreens within the first 30 days.

The offer can be found in the Walgreens iOS app at the bottom of the Weekly Ad & Coupons page, and you can tap directly from the offer page into the Wallet app to start an ‌Apple Card‌ application.

For users with an Apple Cash card, Daily Cash earned through ‌Apple Card‌ purchases is transferred to Apple Cash, where it can be used for person-to-person payments and more. Alternatively, it can be applied to an outstanding ‌Apple Card‌ balance.

Walgreens has been a close partner with Apple in promoting ‌Apple Card‌ benefits, becoming one of the select merchants offering a premium 3% Daily Cash back on purchases made using an ‌Apple Card‌ via Apple Pay.

In April, Walgreens expanded the 3% Daily Cash offer to include purchases made with a physical ‌Apple Card‌ at Walgreens drive-thrus. That offer was originally set to expire at the end of June, but has since been extended through July.
